The business programs provide both theoretical and technical skills in a wide range of business-related areas. The program offers courses in areas such as, but not limited to, supply chain management, marketing, management, organizational theory, and human resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

East Central\u2019s business program is a flexible curriculum that offers classes on both the Union and Rolla campuses, and an AAS degree is available on the Union campus. After successfully completing the program requirements students will possess the skills needed to succeed in a variety of career choices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MISSION STATEMENT:<\/strong> 91ÊÓÆµ\u2019s Associate of Applied Science in Accounting and Business is a career-based education\/skill learning format led by instructors with industry experience. Graduate students of accounting and business are considered workforce ready. In addition, Accounting and Business courses provide a rigorous academic environment building the career skill-set needed for terminal and transfer degree students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

91ÊÓÆµ\u2019s Business degree is designed to provide students with the skills to prepare them for career growth and success in business management-related fields. The program focuses on applying critical thinking in the process of decision making, problem-solving and leading, facilitating, and contributing to meeting organizational goals. This program is ideal for individuals looking to attain an entry-level or mid-level position in the field of business management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Program Format<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Business degree is a two-year 60 credit hour program that provides a deep focus on business-specific coursework such as Intro to Business, Fundamentals of Management, Human Resources, and communication skill development. The program also offers a small concentration of coursework in accounting, economics, and general education courses. This degree is intended for an entry-level professional. With a balance of classroom instruction, software simulation, and electronic lab work students are challenged on theory and practice. Courses are instructed by industry professionals from the fields of accounting, business, and economics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students also can network with local and regional business leaders through classroom visits, student programs across campus, DECA, and internships. 91ÊÓÆµ has also worked closely with regional universities and colleges to design a curriculum for students planning to transfer options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
